Network folders for classes

I routinely suggest to students that they save their work to their 'P' drive, which can be accessed both on and off campus. This circumvents the problem of failed floppy disks & drives. I also recommend creating folders for specific projects and saving journal articles/bibliographies to them. This makes it much easier when it comes time to creating a list of references for a paper.

I also tell them to check with their professor to see if there is a network folder for their class, found on the 'U' drive. The folder can be either a Class Folder (students can read only) or a Drop box subfolder (individual students can only read/write their own files; they cannot see or access files for other users).
